Weekend Trip to Shenandoah National Park & Luray Caverns
Located along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, Shenandoah National Park is a natural expanse renowned for its natural beauty. Skyline Drive traverses the length of the park, offering breathtaking views and access to an extensive network of trails, including a section of the Appalachian Trail. The park is primarily forested, with a diverse landscape that includes wetlands, cascading waterfalls, and rugged peaks such as Hawksbill and Old Rag Mountains. Our Itinerary Day 1 - Saturday (May 11, 2024) We started our day little early and drove to Luray Caverns directly from Charlotte. It took around 5 hours to reach there. After purchasing the tickets from the counter, we took the self guided cave tour which was amazing. Every turn was uncovering mesmerizing rock formations of different shapes & colors.
